Ward Update |

Firstly, I would like to extend a big thank you to the Friends of Ellington Park for hosting the Ramsgate Park Fayre. It was a privilege to be invited along with Central Harbour Officer PC Brown. It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the event, and I really appreciated the opportunity to speak with members of the community and welcome new sign-ups to My Community Voice. Over the past week in the St Moses Montefiore Ward, I have been carrying out random speed checks across the area in response to concerns raised by residents, particularly around Dumpton Park Drive, Ramsgate. During this activity, a male was stopped on suspicion of drug driving and was subsequently arrested. In relation to the East Cliff area, I am aware of ongoing concerns regarding groups of youths congregating in Ramsgate Town Centre. In response, I have successfully obtained a Section 34 Dispersal Order for the town centre this week. This allows officers to direct individuals to leave the area if they are involved in anti-social behaviour. Additionally, identified youths causing concern are being addressed through intervention measures, including home visits, school engagement, and safeguarding-focused educational work. As always, thank you for your continued support—please keep reporting any concerns so we can continue to take action where needed. | ||
